IDM 6.41 Build 2/7 for Windows 2000 without Extended Kernel!

 Requirements:

Internet Explorer 6 (but with Service Pack 1 is highly recommended)


It can run on the original release of Windows 2000, but Service Pack 4 is strongly recommended.

Windows XP RTM (2600.xpclient.010817-1148) Bugs

Windows XP RTM telephone activation bug (has the two digits at the end of the Installation ID), either resulting in zero-day activation after install on current date or making it almost unusable after 30 days.     BSOD when attempting to launch some software made for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP1. (even though complied from VC++ 2005/VC++ 2008) on Windows XP RTM. "Application configuration is incorrect" error when running to run on some applications and installers made for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP1 (even though complied from VC++ 2005/VC++ 2008). Note: Virtual PC 2007 SP1 worked fine on Windows XP SP1 for me.

MyPal 68 on Windows Longhorn build 4074

  How to get MyPal 68 working on Longhorn 4074: Extract "mypal-68.13.4.en-US.win32.zip" to "C:\" In the mypal folder, find "mypal.exe". Open Application Compatibility Launcher to drag and drop "mypal.exe" and hit enter. Once done, MyPal 68 will start on Longhorn Press Enter to continue at the CMD window --> at the patch options, type in "all" --> and then close the CMD window. Once done, click on "mypal.exe", and it will load after patching. Enjoy!
